Nike and Portland

I’ve been in Portland for 9 days now, and I haven’t even scratched the surface of all that is this great city.
As you may well know, Nike headquarters is right outside of Portland in Beaverton.
I was lucky enough to get my hands on a pass to the employee store…and I went a little nuts.
I’ll be traveling home with 4 new pairs of sneaks and a few other goodies.
Portland is a stellar city. Go there if you get a chance.
Drink some great beer, eat some tasty food, and be sure to bring a good rain jacket.

  1. Nice little pink shoes!

  2. I like how you make everywhere look deserted!

    • haha, you bring up a good point!
I never noticed how desolate a lot of these images look.
      very abandoned..

      • Yeah, don’t be confused though, Portland is one of the LEAST abandoned cities in America. It’s hopefully a good example of what America’s mid-size cities could be again. Portland actually exists after 5pm, and isn’t completely auto-dependent. It makes life gloriously better than most of the country. :)

        • I think it’s a great size! I live in Chicago, so it was nice to feel the change in size, but still have so much to see and do in the city.

          • oh wow, yeah, Chicago is BIG. The other really truly weird thing about Portland, is how big it really is considering how small the city is. The activities, the activists, the progress made in Portland is far beyond it’s small size. Always truck me odd.

Next time you’re back in town ping me we’ll do a Nike hike + bike + blog + instagram that sucker. It’d be fun.

            Cheers!

  3. Portland’s a fantastic little city. I’m glad you’re enjoying it here, love your photos.

  4. Beautiful photographs!

  5. i want to run in that city so badly. love the pink nike boots, by the way!

    • I think it would be a great city to run in– especially if you like a little rain.

    • Come visit, it’s a runners paradise. Literally hundreds of miles of trails, in the hilly park west of the city to the hundreds of miles of city trails and waterfront paths. Absolutely great… (I’ll shutup now, I’m a big fan, and resident)

  6. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I clicked into yours (so visual, so awesome) and was whisked away to Portland. I spent a year at a small university there and loved every minute of life in Portland. The variety of pictures and colors were a joy and I thank you for letting “us” revisit that year and re-celebrate my 18th birthday!

  7. Portland is such an amazing city! I’m really loving the pictures.

  13. Great photo’s :) Must….visit….Portland…That place looks awesome. How are you finding heel nikes. I’m in love with mine, though for some reason my left foot keeps hurting so I can’t wear them if I’m walking around the whole day. I would wear them to be I love them that much haha x

    • I LOVE THEM! absolutely love them.
I love wearing wedges because they don’t hurt when you have to get around the city,
mix that with a great pair of sneakers and you have perfection on your hands!
      Glad you like them too!

  14. beautiful and inspiring photography! well done!

  21. I like your photos. They are so simple and emotional. You are very talented and you see the thing that every human sees every day (but can’t recognize them). Next new famous photographer.

  22. ugh it makes me miss Portland so very much. You captured it beautifully! Oregon is such a beautiful place, even in the city. You should definitely try and check out the “country” and the mountains. and thanks for the follow XD

  23. Everybody, do come visit, but do it RIGHT. Do NOT drive while you’re here, you’ll miss 90% of the city and all the awesome there is to see and do. Trust me! :) Transit, train, bike, walk, run but do not drive, you’d blink and end up in Seattle.

  24. Just had to say that I am a HUGE fan of your photos! :-)
