My favorite part of Detroit is all of the colors– it’s the home of street art.
Each building has a million stories to tell and there are a million different ways to interpret them.
I thought I’d wear some art on one of my Carhartt jean jackets much like the buildings wearing art in Detroit.
See how you can make these fabric applique flowers yourself HERE.

What was intended to be a cross-country ski trip turned into a snowshoeing experience.
Turns out, when you’re as clumsy as I am, wearing shoes that make your feet bigger isn’t a good game plan.
It was a fun trip full of wine, pie, and snow. When winter feels like it just won’t go away, you might as well embrace it.

Meet Liz and her very minty Nikes.
Nothing like a little festive cheer with a bit of minty goodness on your feet! Am I right?!
We went to a German Christmas Market downtown and filled ourselves with warm cider and cinnamon nuts.
I love Chicago at Christmas time and I want the pre-holiday excitement to last forever!
It feels so right walking down a crowded city sidewalk, seeing your breath dance before you,
with your pockets jammed so far in your coat pockets you’re convinced you’ll find an old hand warmer still giving off a little heat.

awesome nikes

It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!
Okay. It’s just sorta cold outside, but that means it’s time to pull out your down vests and festive warm clothes.
I made a giant pom pom to top one of my Carhartt hats. See how I did it HERE.
Check out the new pair of Air Max sneakers I got this weekend.
Stay warm out there, folks!
