Do you ever get tired of hearing- “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade?”
I know I sure do. And I feel as though I’ve heard that way too much lately.
This has been a really tough week- I’ll spare you the details.
Today I knew I just needed to run and get everything off my brain-frame.
Usually I run on a treadmill…lame…I know all you avid runners are rolling your eyes at me right now.
I’ve just always felt weird running in front of people.
Well- I’m proud to say that I got over that today.
I wanted to be outside where it was beautiful, and not in some stuffy gym.
I ran in downtown Chicago, and it was fantastic!
At the risk of sounding trite, it was really invigorating and even empowering.
It reminded me of this quote by one of my favorite authors:
Life is full of marble and mud.
Parts of life are going to be beautiful and parts will be a little more messy.
At least we can run them off…and make something really beautiful in the mud.
