Near the sweet little town of Garmisch Partenkirchen lies the Partnach Gorge, carved by a mountain river. It’s over 2,000 feet long and up to 260 feet deep. A winding foot path leads you along the side of the rushing waters, through caves and carved rock. It’s the kind of overwhelming nature that makes you feel 3 inches tall (which I think is a healthy thing to feel every once in a while to put humans in their proper place).

Such beautiful images! And I couldn’t agree more that sometimes it’s good to get out and be reminded of our 3-foot-tall status. 🙂 Thank you for this lovely post.
Oh thank you so much!!
Gorgeous photos. Why am I sitting at a desk under fluorescent light, staring at a computer screen?
haha I find myself wondering the same question sometimes!
I love it, I want to get out and take a walk like that but it’s to cold around here
Beautiful, powerful, awe-inspiring – and downright scary (feet dangling down).
It was a little scary! Thanks for stopping by!!
