A New Orleans wedding is something everyone should experience. Last weekend, a dear friend got married in the St. Louis Cathedral in the middle of The French Quarter. It was beyond beautiful. Right after the ceremony, we all gathered in the streets paraded to the reception venue, The Riverview Room, with a marching band and police escort. Check out the video at the bottom of the post to see what I’m talking about.
Here are a few suggestions of things to do if you’re in NOLA:
Mother’s—southern comfort food
The French Market—grab a snack and some souvenirs
Hang out in Jackson Square to hear some great music
Cochon—seriously one of the best restaurants with a Cajun twist
Sheraton on Canal Street—if your room is high up, the views are amazing
Walk up and down Frenchman Street to pop into bars and hear live music

Lovely photos.
why thank you, Chantel!
Pretty cool, getting married in St. Louis Cathedral. (Commander’s Palace for Sunday brunch. Mango Mai Tai’s or Margs to go for walking Bourbon St.)
Oh! I’ll have to try those places out the next time I’m there. Thanks, John!
