Marfa is a great little art town in west Texas. With a population only 1,981, it’s a town where everyone knows your name. I stayed at Hotel Saint George for a week and really enjoyed eating, drinking, art-ing, and getting to know the folks who live there. If you visit, grab a few tacos and a beer to enjoy in the pool at Bar Nadar. You also can’t miss the Prada store in Valentine. It’s an instillation by Elmgreen and Dragset. Constructed in 2005 for $120,000. It’s the artists’ intention to never repair it and let it slowly disintegrate into the desert. 👠🌵

Marfa? Wow! I grew up in El Paso, and we would occasionally go through there on the way to visit my grandparents over in New Braunfels, near San Antonio. It used to be just a wide spot in the road. Thanks for the great photos and the memories.
Beautiful simple images. Stunning really. Thanks for the look. c
