a warm closet welcome to these cuties

Last post, I mentioned I finally decided it was time to buy a new pair of sneakers. To break the seal, I got 3 (with the intention of keeping 1…but you coulda guessed I’d end up keeping 2).

I returned the baby blue Air Force 1 Premiums. Honestly, I reallllllly liked them. But they had a suede finish and I just knew they’d age quickly the way I wear my sneakers.

I ended up keeping the Nike Air Force PLT.AF.ORM–and these are my new favorite shoes. They go with any outfit and somehow don’t look too casual. I wore them all over Europe, walking 10 miles a day, and they still look good as new.

I also kept the Nike Blazer Mid Victories. Since it’s summer, I haven’t worn these around too much, but I have a feeling I’ll wear them a ton when temps drop. They have a classic look with some pretty unique design elements.

and now for a few close ups…

Nike Air Force PLT.AF.ORM

These might be the easiest shoes I’ve ever owned. Easy and beautiful.

Heritage details, dating back 40 years to the original Air Force 1s, create a classic clean look.

The lifted midsole not only looks great, but hides a soft foam for extra cushioning.

Nike Blazer Mid Victories

What a fun and sophisticated take on a classic basketball shoe.

The materials feel really premium. The different leather and textures blend together in shades of white and off white.

And get a load of that hidden lacing system.

The lifted midsole elevates your look (and your height). And I always love the added durability of a reinforced toe.

It feels good to be back!
Now I’m off to adventure in these new sneakers.
