I got a new pair of basketball shoes! HOORAY!
This particular pair has slots with interchangeable color discs so you can change the color of the Nike check.
The colors felt a little boring to me, so I took some houndstooth Duck Tape and made my own color discs.
Now I have houndstooth Nike checks on my basketball shoes! perfection!
How clever is that! The houndstooth is definitely an improvement.
why thank you! I love houndstooth so much.
It’s definitely one of my favorite patterns.
Houndstooth is so on point right now. I love another girl who isn’t afraid to rock the Nike high tops!
Love your ingenuity. Maybe you can view my post from 28 July 2011, which is called “What Do Duck Tape, Hula Hoops and Ribbons Have in Common?” Duck Tape has become an inexpensive way to jazz things–as you have done, Sally
great post, Sally! it’s hard not to love Duck Tape.
Nice work, you crafty devil!
I like that! I might make that my self-appointed title: The Crafty Devil!
Yesss! you took it way back i remember switching the colors on my Nikes!
So creative!

I‘ve always loved duck tape and now I love it even more after seeing what you did with it. Thanks for sharing
You weren’t kidding when you said you are a Nike nut! I think Nike needs to endorse YOU! Margie
Now that’s clever! And sounds like something I would do. I’m sometimes accused of choosing form over function. But you got the best of both! Congratulations on being Freshly Pressed! Great photos! ~ Sheila
thank you so much! there’s nothing wrong with a proper marriage between form and function, huh? hahaa 🙂
I had a pair of shoes similar to that and I really wanted to know what type of shoes those are? I’ve been looking so hard to find them.
hi there! they’re called blue chips and they’re the best! thanks for stopping by. Good luck on your search!
