I fell in love with Chicago the day I moved here.
Three years later, and I still think this city’s got it goin’ on. Beautiful summer days and free art shows.
You have to check out The Happy Show by Stefan Sagmeister in the Cultural Center.
It really gets you thinking. I know the sign at the beginning says the exhibition will not make you happier.
But maybe it can paint things for you in a new light. Or it can help you remember the sunny-side-up of things.
Besides, there are a bunch of giant inflatable monkeys in a ballroom. Who doesn’t want to see that?!
Great pix as always. Intriguing art show.
You are so creative, Jennifer. You make us proud in the art department at BU. Glad you were in so many of my classes!
awww, Dr. Smith. You’re the best. One of the best teachers I’ve ever had!
I am glad I discovered your blog… I love your concept!
why thank you!!!
Love the skirt! Great color!
Great post! You made me homesick… I’m an expatriate South Sider. Haven’t lived there in 20 years. Still miss it.
20 years is a long time to be away!
Yeah, it is.
Awesome post! Love the “you in the city” shots, and the art show looks so inspiring and thought provoking, but in a refreshing, not heavy, way! Thanks for sharing!
thanks so much, Connie! I appreciate it!
