The second stop on my Denver 30th birthday road trip was Golden, Colorado. What an awesome little town! Most would say it’s known for being the home to Coors, but I’ll stick it to the Poor-Tasting-Beer-Man and tell you that it’s home to the sweet little brewery that proudly heralds the honor of being the 2nd biggest brewery in Golden–Golden City Brewery.
The main street in the middle of this tiny western town is full of life and character. There’s even a river that runs the length of the Washington Avenue. You can tube down it and walk back up the path to do it all over again.
I can’t wait to get back to Golden for another visit!
There is good beer in Colorado.
Absolutely!
