I’m sharing this post in honor of my 50th day of quarantine.
Yes, we’ve all heard it a million times already–these are strange, historic, and difficult times.
Although we’re all struggling on different levels, it’s always good to be thankful for who and what you have. I’m so grateful that my family is happy and healthy. I’m grateful that my mind works clearly and I’m able to be creative, even if I’m stuck in the same room everyday. I’m grateful for inventive ways to burn off my excess energy, because trust me, I’m an energy-over-producer.
During the last few days, I’ve been painting and creating. Hopefully these pictures will lift your spirits as they did my own.
I painted my sneaker box and a background, pulling design elements from a pair of Nike Free RN sneakers. These shoes are seriously comfortable, and currently 40% off.
Stir crazy is a feeling I am all too familiar with. It can strike at any time. As a child, I remember driving my family crazy–especially on road trips when we were stuck in a hotel room. I would jump from one bed to the other, until one of my parents kicked me out.
The last 50 days have certainly provoked an almost endless supply of restlessness. That’s why I’m so grateful for Peloton. It was a big investment, but I’m glad we made the difficult decision to go ahead and buy one. It’s been a great and challenging way to blow off steam.
If you have a Peloton account, follow me. I’d love to connect with you. My handle is PelotonJenn. You’ll recognize me by my very realistic self-portrait in my profile image (pictured on the left).
