Just south of the tiny German town, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, stands the highest peak of the Wetterstein Mountains, at 9,718 feet above sea level. Zugspitze was most likely derived from the German word zugbahnen meaning avalanche paths. You can hike to the top or take a cable car. (I bet you can guess which one I did.) I wore the heck out of my Nike ACG Boots while I was in Seattle and the surrounding areas. I came back with some great shots and 5 pounds of rocks. It was so peaceful out there. Your sole can just step back and take a breath. What would we do without nature to fuel our tanks and weigh down our backpacks?
