It’s always nice to remember that there are rock-loving kindred spirits out there in the world.Franz Joseph Glacier / for the love of nikeFranz Joseph Glacier / for the love of nikeFranz Joseph Glacier / for the love of nikeFranz Joseph Glacier / for the love of nikeThis beautiful chunk of glacier has been in a rapid retreat since 2008. It once spread all the way to the sea, but now only remains near the peak. Happy to lay eyes on it and sad to see it melt away. They say that some glaciers in New Zealand are among the few that can regain mass during extreme snowfall. So here’s to hoping. 🤞
