Rocks that look so good, you could eat them.

Punakaiki, a small community on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand, is home to the Pancake Rocks. It was my first stop right off the ferry from the North Island. The photo directly below gives you a glimpse into what it’s like driving in NZ. Believe it or not, this is a two way road…and yes…this is a major highway.

The place is also covered in blowholes. A trail leads you in a loop, right out to the waterfront through a forest. Staircases are carved into the rock and there are some great look out spots. The Pancake Rocks in New Zealand / for the love of nike

Now we’re off to the next location, driving into the night.
