The Dallas Museum of Art has been around since 1903. That was a long time ago! It started off as a room, founded by The Art Committee of the Public Library. Show after show, the organization pushed forward and expanded. The collection continued to grow until it became what it is today.
You know me, sneakers and art are paramount, so exploring an art museum in a new set of kicks is one of my favorite activities. I love seeing pieces I’ve never laid eyes on and old favorites. It’s fun to make comparisons and feel inspired, get acquainted with new artists and draw from the wealth of familiar craftspeople. Posted above are a few of the works that spoke loudest to me on my last visit.
What do you think of them? Which ones are you drawn to?
what I wore: Nike Dunk Sky Hi Sneaker Wedges, Nike Dri-Fit Epic Crew, Sunset Printed Tights, & Skull Necklace from Barron’s in Longview, TX
Great photos – you look wonderful in that outfit! Great looking hair too. 🙂
thanks so much, John! I appreciate it!
I love the painting of the people looking at art. (And also the image of the guy looking at the painting.) Can you tell me who the artist is?
Great question! It’s by Honoré Daumier. (and that’s my dad looking at the painting of people looking at a painting!)
