Dublin Round II: Ireland Sober is Ireland Stiff

Sadly our return to Dublin draws an end to our Ireland travels. But I’ve got a feeling I’ll be back soon. This endearing country reminded me a lot of Chicago. It’s so chill. The people are sweet and ready to hang. Everyone just wants good food and good booze. I can sympathize! Then add on the nearness to nature. You feel like you could drive a good 30 minutes and find yourself completely alone in the countryside, just in time to lose yourself in the greenness.

On our last night, we visited the Guinness Brewery. It was enormous and I’m now officially trained in the true way to pour a beer. We stayed at The Spencer again because we enjoyed it so much the first time around. We were upgraded to an awesome room with a balcony overlooking the River Liffey. We drank a few brews out there at night and had coffee there in the morning as we watched the sunrise. That’s right. It was heaven.
