Brisbane is the capital of Queensland, Australia. There was something about it that reminded me of a much cleaner version of New Orleans. It’s on the bay, and a river winds throw the city center. The architecture is quite diverse and interesting, you can easily take boats to get around the city, and there is a fun night scene.
Here’s what we were up to:
- We stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton. They have a great bar on the 30th floor called Sazerac–where of course, we tried their sazerac–reminding me yet again of New Orleans.
- We ate dinner at Riverbar and Kitchen, right on the water. The food and people watching was so good, we came back the next morning for breakfast.
- We grabbed a few pots (which is a mini version of a pint) at Brisbane Brewing Co. and Catchment Brewery.
Stay tuned. We’re off to Fiji next!
Great photos! I was supposed to visit Australia over a decade ago and to a now regrettable decision didn’t end up going. I will visit this beautiful country someday!
