an afternoon in Pilsen

Pilsen is quite possibly my favorite Chicago neighborhood. There is a large hispanic presence in the area–creating a colorful vibe from street to street. There are murals and art instillations everywhere you look.

If you’re going to spend the afternoon in the area, here are a few hot spots:

• La Vaca Margarita Bar: grab a drink and chill on the patio
• walk along Halsted and go into the art studios along the way
• grab a meat pie or scotch egg at Pleasant House Bakery
