I’m a big believer in ALWAYS packing in a carryon. Yes, that can be extremely tricky when you’re going somewhere for over a week–but it’s absolutely doable. For my Norwegian adventures, I decided I would bring two pairs of shoes. Both Nikes as you might have guessed–my sweet classic highs and these beauties:
The matte grey with a gum bottom held up quite nicely, especially considering that I walked just a little over 180 miles during this trip. The leather and dark sole let the mud and gunk wash right off after every adventure.
Excited to see the beautiful places these shoes explored? Stay tuned!

Ooooo. So much to see in Norway. Stave kirke (700-800 yr. old churches preserved with flammable tar!), the Jotunheimen (sp?) Mts, Geiranger Fjord. 180 miles!? You’ve done some trekking! Can’t wait to see.
Norway is an unbelievable country! So intensely beautiful. It sounds like you’ve been there!
Yes. I did a 6-day car trip from Oslo to Geiranger and back. Beautiful.
I didn’t know much about Norway until my trip there. I want to go back very much! and I didn’t go to Oslo. I’ll have to do that next time.
