They say Paris is the most romantic city in the world? Who exactly are “they?” I’m not sure, but they might be right. The Louvre at Night Even Parisian puddles are romantic. Disgusting. Every meal feels like a perfect meal here, but I highly recommend dinner at Le Petit Cler.A truly fantastic food experience at Les Papilles A beer from Frog Beer XVI So long to this beautiful city, where it feels like Christmas all winter long–particularly when the rain drenches […]
When I was a kid, I thought growing up was the worst thing that could happen. I dreaded becoming an adult. Little did I know that being a “big person” is actually awesome. You can eat all the candy you want and buy yourself Christmas presents (all year ’round). A pair of Sweet Classic Highs and Winter Roshe Runs and a very Merry Christmas to me!
Christmas is almost here! Does it surprise you that this is my version of decorating for the holidays? Handmade decorations are always the best, and even better when it appears that they don’t make sense. At this point, I’m certain that my neighbors think I’m a lunatic. My door is constantly covered with the most odd handmade creations. (from my polka dot party to the pirate party to the Breaking Bad finale) What do you think? Have any sneaker […]

Last week, I spent time in Minneapolis for work. Oh my goodness, it was cold! It got down to -9 degrees. I took off my jacket off for the first few pictures above and almost died. Although the temperatures were harrowing, the city was still quite lovely. I felt as though I was returning to a tropical paradise when I got back to Chicago, and that’s never a good sign. So excited to be headed to Texas soon. Then I’ll really […]

I spent Thanksgiving in Pittsburgh this year. It was chilly and snowy… and I even salted a driveway for the first time in my life. Everyone thought it was funny that I was so enthusiastic about it. I also went to a really great Penguins game on the 27th. (Geno and Sid loved my sneaker wedges as you can see.) What a great way to spend Thanksgiving Eve! Now onwards we march towards Christmas!

Meet Liz and her very minty Nikes. Nothing like a little festive cheer with a bit of minty goodness on your feet! Am I right?! We went to a German Christmas Market downtown and filled ourselves with warm cider and cinnamon nuts. I love Chicago at Christmas time and I want the pre-holiday excitement to last forever! It feels so right walking down a crowded city sidewalk, seeing your breath dance before you, with your pockets jammed so far in your coat […]
Yesterday I went down to the German Christmas festival in Daley Plaza in the loop. It’s open until Christmas Eve, so if you get a chance, you should check it out. I wore a pair of my 6.0s down there- and I’m glad I did even though they wouldn’t let me into a club later that night because I didn’t meet dress code with them.
