Oh, it’s the time of year for beer and peanuts galore! Last night I went to the Pirates vs. Cubs game at Wrigley Field. It was my second baseball outing of the season– both of which have been quite chilly and unfortunately filled with Porta Potties (due to ongoing construction at Wrigley). Sporting events are the time and place sit back, snack, and drink as you people watch– forget the game. There are a bunch of maniacs squished into a single […]
Pittsburgh is surprisingly a fun city to see as a tourist. It’s hilly and bridge-y and filled with good art. The natives, also known as Yinzers, are down to earth, sports fanatics, and like french fries in their sandwiches. where to drink: Fathead’s Fatheads is the place to grab a great beer (or a few of them). They have 42 continually rotating taps and the food is tasty too. where to sightsee: Gateway Clipper Cruise The Allegheny and the Monongahela […]

I spent Thanksgiving in Pittsburgh this year. It was chilly and snowy… and I even salted a driveway for the first time in my life. Everyone thought it was funny that I was so enthusiastic about it. I also went to a really great Penguins game on the 27th. (Geno and Sid loved my sneaker wedges as you can see.) What a great way to spend Thanksgiving Eve! Now onwards we march towards Christmas!

Labor Day game day, baby! How did you celebrate your 3 day weekend? I went to Milwaukee to catch a Pirates vs. Brewers game. The Buccos won, 5-2. Miller Park is one of those nutzo stadiums with a retractable roof. (and a giant slide and a rock wall) If you’re going to the Brewer’s stadium, don’t drink there. For a team with such a name, the brews they offer seem shameful. But downtown Milwaukee makes up for it with all the […]

So I know I’m super late in posting these photos. My bad. The other weekend, I went to the Gold Cup game at Soldier Field in Chicago. Wahoo, way to go, USA!! I even sported red, white, and blue with my sweet classic highs to be supportive and patriotic and stuff. USA, you rock. Chicago, you rock too.
I went to my very first hockey game ever last Friday night. It was a hell-of-a-game too! Penguins vs. Senators. Pens for the win! 6-2. James Neal with a hat trick. gollllleyyy! It was a blast! Then again, it’s always a blast when your team wins. Since I’m originally from Texas, hockey culture is a bit of a mystery to me. But now I’m officially a big fan. Exciting games are ahead with the playoffs. Because it’s the cup, y’all. Because […]
A few weeks ago I went to Pittsburgh where I got to see the Pirates play the Cubs at PNC Park. I was blown away by the stadium. It sits right on the river, overlooking bridges and the skyline. Baseball games are always a good time. Who doesn’t enjoy the game, good company, hotdogs, and beer? One of my favorite parts of the experience is people watching. I felt like a total creeper, but I saw some great shoes. The […]
