I spent a few of the worst stormy days in Santa Monica and I was quite convinced there was no better place to be. I must admit, I’ve never been a huge fan of LA until my experience this past trip. I didn’t want to leave. Putting myself in the taxi to go back to the airport, I felt like a toddler who’d rather crumple on the floor in an obstinate tantrum than return to the icy tundra that Chicago had morphed into in my absence. (really mature, huh?) It even made me sad to look back at the pictures a few days after my return to reality. That’s why it’s taken me a week to post them. Enjoy!
