After my recent helicopter adventure in Chicago, it was time to bring the excitement to the water. A few friends and I gathered for a birthday boat ride up and down the Chicago river, complete with the first cheesecake-stand on a boat. I started off as the captain… but believe it or not… I’m a horrible boat driver. So I relinquished the reins, and I think everyone (myself included) was much more at ease.

I’m currently drooling over these Nike items: Metallic Sky Hi Sneaker Wedge, Pro Core Stacked Elastic Sports Bra, & Nike Tech Fleece. And in my Nike dreams, I’d wear all of these items with with: Michael Kors Caicos Sunglasses, Bone Cuff by Elsa Peretti, Banana Republic Acid Bright Statement Earring, & Cynthia Steffe Faux Snakeskin Ponte Dress. Whatcha think? Which of the pieces above are you diggin’?
The Kimbell in Fort Worth, Texas is on of my favorite museums. I’m a Michelangelo freak, so that might explain it. A few years ago, The Kimbell acquired The Torment of Saint Anthony. It is supposedly Michelangelo’s first painting. You can see it above– depicting an old guy being attacked by a buncha demons. How cool is that? In college, I would drive to Fort Worth just to see it again and again. It made me feel that much closer to […]
So everyone in the continental US seemed to be aware of the horrendous weather last week, that is everyone but the people in California. I spent a few of the worst stormy days in Santa Monica and I was quite convinced there was no better place to be. I must admit, I’ve never been a huge fan of LA until my experience this past trip. I didn’t want to leave. Putting myself in the taxi to go back to the […]
New Year’s Eve is a great excuse to dress up in your fancy-smanshy clothes. I wore my new aluminum jewelry from the Art Institute in Chicago with my favorite black velvet dress. Throw in my long beaded gloves from Target and a faux fur hat from Canada and you’re ready to ring in the new year! But don’t forget the lipstick…super red Dior Addict Gloss will do the trick. Then top the outfit off with the Fashion Week Tokyo Sky […]

Visiting Pittsburgh is always an adventure. I finally made my way to Primanti Bros., where the french fries abound. In Pittsburgh, sandwiches come with the fries on the inside. Originally that was to make lunches easier for workers in the Strip District to eat on the go. It stuck around because it’s delicious. I also got to see the Rubber Duck floating in the Allegheny River. What a site to behold! Dutch artist, Florentijn Hofman, dreamed up this 40ft. attraction that travels around to different cities. Until next time, […]

Michigan City in Indiana, you look pretty. It’s such a quaint little town, right on Lake Michigan. There’s a lot of sand and it’s beautiful. Isn’t it funny that giant piles of sand can be fun to look at? My skirt and jacket are from Anthropologie and my sneakers are from NTC Lincoln Park. These Tokyo Fashion Week Sky High Dunks blend perfectly with the Indiana dunes. Lots of love for neutrals and holographic Nike swooshes.
My DIY project this week led to some outfit eggspiration. Don’t you love the natural hue of organic eggs? They have such lovely, peaceful colors. How great is the dichotomy between those mellow pigments and the studs? (okay…they’re just a buncha brads I punched very gently into a few hardboiled eggs) See how to make your own eggspiration HERE. what this outfit’s all about: skirt and belt from Anthropologie, sweater from Ann Taylor Loft, jewelry from Ann Taylor, Sky High […]
