Dana Point is a beach town in Orange County. It’s a big surf spot and it feels like suburbia on the sea. Despite the odd, creepy feeling that the burbs give me–this place has some beautiful beaches. Here are the views from Dana Point Lookout: Now for some beer brewed in state at Salt Creek Beach. Orderville by Modern Times is a pretty kick-ass New England IPA.
I recently took a quick weekend trip to Cancún to celebrate my cousin’s wedding. It was absolutely breathtaking. If you’re visiting, I urge you to get up for the sunrise–even if you want to sleep in–it’s well worth it. Because of the white sands, the water reflects the sky so brilliantly.
If you have 24 hours to kill in Miami, here’s a few suggestions around South Beach: Take a dip in the ocean along the 4 miles of beach. Kill two birds with one stone, grab brunch and watch a drag show at the same time at The Palace. Stroll along Ocean Drive to take in the weirdness and the entertainers. We stopped in at Ocean’s Ten and really enjoyed the band. They only have 2 stars on yelp, but it really […]
Nags Head, North Carolina. Honestly, I’d never heard of it until a few years ago, and now I make an annual visit their with friends. I’ll tell you what I had heard of though–Roanoke Island. Remember? As kids, we all learned about the first English colony (that would eventually fail, not once, but twice) in what the British considered to be the “new world.” These two popular vacation spots are basically neighbors. Take a look at Nags Head on a map. Interesting, […]
You guys might already be aware of my love for disposable cameras. I don’t know if it’s the crummy, low resolution aspect of picture taking or if it’s my nostalgia for the 90s that’s got me head over heels. It’s silly, I know. And it’s getting more and more absurd (especially as a photographer) to carry one of these suckers around in an age when even the 8 year old who lives next door has a GoPro. Below are some of […]
Is it normal to buy a pair of honeymoon sneakers? Who knows, but I did it anyway. It was both of our first times in Mexico, and I wanted a pair of shoes fit for our luna de miel. Roshe Runs with a tropical print it was! Puerto Vallarta was the place—the very, very hot place were we’d celebrate our nuptials. It was beyond wonderful. After all of the crafts and long nights prepping for our art filled weekend of […]
Happy Fourth of July, y’all! Wrap yourself in an American flag, guzzle down a good brew, and watch the fireworks roar. This year, I’m celebrating in Sea Isle. Sun and sand make everything better. If you’re up to seeing a few of my other patriotic posts, take a look at this crafty gif and this red, white, and blue visor. May your holiday be filled with sea and beer froth alike. Outfit #1: Carhartt Men’s T-Shirt, Nike Shorts, Victoria’s Secret […]

Well lookout for the craziest zipline/obstacle course ever, smack dab in the middle of Outer Banks in North Carolina. From shimmying across ropes, to jumping from one barrel to another, to kayaking in the air, endurance and strength is put to the ultimate test. It was excruciatingly fun and terrifying, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. what I wore: Nike Roshe Runs from the Gradient Pack, a Nike logo Tee, Gap leggings from the Gap Fit line, and […]

Michigan City in Indiana, you look pretty. It’s such a quaint little town, right on Lake Michigan. There’s a lot of sand and it’s beautiful. Isn’t it funny that giant piles of sand can be fun to look at? My skirt and jacket are from Anthropologie and my sneakers are from NTC Lincoln Park. These Tokyo Fashion Week Sky High Dunks blend perfectly with the Indiana dunes. Lots of love for neutrals and holographic Nike swooshes.
